So i just got invited to a game at a pool room an hour away. Doubles 8 ball $100 a rack, and my partner is covering us. He says the guys are a joke, and made of money. Can I pass this up?

I'm opting out of a $1/2 NL cash game at a local establishment for this.

Hmmmm...

What you have to loose; only two hours of driving time and some gazoline...so go ahead and have fun with your friend.

Ugh... go crush em.

Theres a good chance you might drive all the way there, and they bullshit out of it once they see you guys can play. They might argue with you over weight, or maybe only play one set and quit. You never know! It just seems like it would be an awefule waste of time to drive down there, and then have them back out.

Pete's right, your potential gain/potential loss ratio is through the roof. Give 'em hell.

An HOUR? Heck, we drive an hour to grocery shop!

Kalamazoo...That's not much driving, really...and your partner is spotting the b.r., so what have you got to lose? LOL I think you guys should make some kind of agreement, on how many games/sets you all play, before you start. Like was said, your opponents may opt out, once they see they can't win. Good luck! :D

where you going to play at? Battle creek? and if you know the names of the guys let me know, I'd be interrested in knowing who it is

Hey thanks guys. It's actually in South Haven MI. It sounds legit, I just talked to my buddy and he played them 2 motnhs back and walked with about 300. glfgd82, are you local? I play with the guys in Battle Creek, as I live here in Kzoo. We've got a new pool room, Blackbird Billiards. It's gorgeous.

Ive heard the place is great, I'm in Lansing but get down that way every now and again, I will definitely get over there and see the new room, sounds great.

kzoojam...I'll be moving to Battle Creek this summer. I'll be spending a lot of time in Jamie's place, but Blackbird Billiards sounds nice too! Maybe we can get together and hit a few! I'm looking forward to meeting all the MI AzBr's!
