Could our Mosconi cup team beat our "B" Team

This isn’t our top 5 players and if you think different you can stake any 5 you want and I’ll let you win a lot of money.

My other half said they need to bring in some gunslingers to the team. His pics were Shane, Sky, Justin Hall, Justin Bergman, and he chose Rodney Morris as the spark plug. He said if you keep Rodney focused on the Cup while it is in progress, he can win. Keith likes his game.

Oh, he then added for team coach, it would me him, and his co-captain would be Jimmy Mataya. What a motley crew that would be! :grin-square:

Well, it's fun to dream, I guess. :p

Well, maybe the Mosconi Cup has to go NAFTA and allow Canadians like Pagulayan and Morra to even things out a bit. Also excluding legal residents of the USA like Shaw and Appleton might be warranted.

I know its just one bad week, but right now there are a couple players I think I would clearly choose over Sky. I would love to see Donnie Mills get a shot, heck, I'd pick Earl over Sky also.

pretty much any classification anywhere in the world Counts Russia as European Nation....
traditionally the Europe extends to the river Volga that goes down from the Ural mountains to the Black Sea....that would leave the most populated Centers of Russia on European side...Moscow to start with...

True
A Russian, Stephanov has played in Mosconi Cup before so yes, Russians do get to play in MC

The US need a team of players that have Experience , Knowledge , Ability and are not afraid of Big time pressure. I've always felt that they need to assemble a mix of any of these players to be competitive.....before it's too late

Shane Van Boening
Johnny Archer
Dennis Hatch
Rodney Morris
Jeremy Jones
Shannon Daulton

Yes....I know some of these guys don't really play all that much anymore, and would have to practice quite a bit to get back in shape. But I would put their experience way over the new school.
Don't get me wrong, the "New school" players are very good (Dominguez , Woodward, Thorpe , Dechaine , Bergman) . IMO , They're just not there yet . Let'em win a few U.S Opens and/or World Titles....THEN IT WILL BE ON

And how anyone could consider leaving SVB off of this team, easily the best American player over the past decade, is laughable.

Darren Appleton was left off the European team. He was also seen in Vegas supporting the European team. Europe had 5 players on the team but way more than 5 team players.
