M-22.......ROCK CRUSHER'S! Craigers and Hurst shift knobs to "boot"...So Coooooool...

There must be 8 of these per batch.. I think with these Randy has found "Top Dead Center"...

Mobley M-22 "Rock Crusher"

I was going to post in the thread about "...most expensive J/B cue.." but this post came up. The idea for this concept cue came from the Muncie 4 speed transmission that ruled GM muscle cars in the 60s. It became known as the "Rock Crusher" because it was very loud with a whine in it.

Randy made 22 of this cue and I am fortunate to own #1. The joint protector for the pin represents the "spline" of the transmission. The jp for the shaft obviously represents the 4-speed transmission and the "boot" at the base of the shifter. And the bumper is a 5 spoke Cragar mag wheel which was also very popular in the 60s muscle cars. The finish is a silver metal looking paint that was also the color of the transmission housing. All in all Randy created a unique concept cue that has much symbolism and attention to detail.

They are not cheap and more than half of the 22 cues were pre-sold. In fact they might all be sold by now. If not you should call Randy immediately if you would like to own a collector cue by one of the best cuemakers in the world.

Worminator listed them in wanted/sale......There are few more available

All components were made in the Mobley shop, from the Cragar wheel bumper assembly to the Hurst shifter and boot.

How did I miss this thread!!!
The dam cue is still in transit...keeping fingers crossed that I get it tommorrow :)

Looking at this cue my only concern would be my case not being able to accommodate them due to the long JPs hehe. Time for a new case?

No need for new case., I just checked it fits right into Yang case, JB case and many others.

Not sure buddy...I'm equally paranoid and it's not cos of the Mobley...more worried for the other cue...u know why..

Well if it pass the custom in Shanghai, I don't see why wouldn't pass the inland custom.... Let hope it arrives tomorrow

What you mean still in transit ? What taking so long this time ?

Cues in transit seem to be taking longer theses days. One of my cues took ten days to go from NY to Cail. One took 7 days from Tx. To Vegas.

I love the work in this jb cue. Happy hopping Jive. If they make it!

Not sure why shipping cue from NY to Cali took 10 days., only reason can be the shipper use regular mail which it takes about 10 days., I have ship things or cues from NY to northern Cali using USPS priority flat Rate or tube box & it arrive in 3-4 days time.

As for the cue I send to Jive, it was ship last Tuesday & have arrived into China since 2 day ago just waiting for delivery. My Mobley was ship last Thursday using USPS express and it arrived to me on Tuesday.

Jive, make for us allot of pics when you receive the cue

Haha i'll try...it needs to get here first..
It's in China for the past 4 days but tracking has become stagnant...so i'm still anxiously waiting..:frown:

Anybody know what are the tips on this cues?
The hit is on the softer side.....but im not sure if is the tip or the cue is hitting that way.

Must explain not to make confusion here.Up to now i was playing with purpleheart B/J and Samsara tip and the hit was with much more noise and also much harder.
Today i try the Mobley, the hit have a feel like softer and with less noise. On the other hand the racked balls was moving allot more on the table with the Mobley.
So now im afraid if i put on the Mobley the Samsara(harder then actual tip instaled in my opinion) that will be to powerfull,to much cannon... simpy to much,lol.....Im affraid that i will have allot balls of the table if i change the tip,and want to avoid that
Is it possible that this cue is so powerfull?Anybody tryed one?I know Rodney Morris did,and he also says it hit like a hammer,i know because i ask him.

I know somebody will think im an idiot writting that a break can be "to much"..... but simply with my stroke im really afraid for the first time that it can be,lol

Btw mine is nr.5....and i sure hope i will read other rewievs by other people who have the cue.
As for others who are thinking to get it or not......dont miss this out guys, sure is a super strong hitter, you will cry latter.

Im so impressed that i decide that i must try the brumhandle also now...i must have them all,lol
