Craigslist find

http://oklahomacity.craigslist.org/spo/2520059460.html

This guy posted this cue and I can't tell who made it. I emailed him and he Said he couldn't spell it but the guy was a reputable cue maker. Sounds like a load of crap to me. Most people know what they got if they are selling it right? Any ideas on what cue it is since no help from the seller?

Break8Run9:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't one of the pictures show the forearm of the cue, with the maker's name plainly visible?

Looks like a Russ Espiritu cue to me. No?

From zooming in on it it could possibly say Russ Espiritu 2003 but I can't really tell. Espiritu is a nice cue if that's what it is, also says 2003 on it. You might do a search on Espiritu cues and see what turns up.

Thank you. I couldn't make it out totally that's why I was asking. Suprising the seller doesn't know who the cuemaker is

This Deal Is Too Good To Be True

Looked at the ad on Craig's Lisy...a break cue and a Espiritu cue...a nice one...plus a 3x& leather Instroke cue case for $1,000. This guy could have gotten that much from a pawn shop...drive there and give the gyt cash right now....this deal is a steal....which by the way, might actually be the situation....selling this package this cheap sounds awfully suspicious and it may be on the local police's hot sheets as a stolen item. Maybe you should post this on the Wanted to Buy/Sell section and ask for help on confirming if it might be stolen stolen...but in any event, at $1,000...it's a great...great steal of a deal.....Matt

GOTTA be stolen...I'd sure as hell know who made it if it was "My custom cue"...

I do not know if a pawn shop would have given $1000+ for this package. Imo, this is a good deal, but not a complete steal or anything. I am basing this off the current market. If someone was looking for a total package for themselves, then this would be great. If someone wanted to sell and make money by parting it out, I don't think there is too much room there. It mostly depends on what you could sell the Espiritu for.

If I priced this package out(some of the prices may be flexible and lean toward the buyer), I would go...

Russ Espiritu cue:$600-$800. Russ makes fine cues, but the secondary market is not great for his cues.

Instroke Case: $200-$250

OB Break Cue:$250

OB Jump Cue: I don't really know. I'll say $75-$100

A friend of mines saw a Black Boar for $200 here but by the time the guy contacted him back it had been sold.

Go look at it. I would sure as hell know if I had a custom cue who the custom cue maker was. Don't forget recent Mottey counterfeit cue. I saw the same add as I will be in Shawnee next week and was looking for good deals while out there. Used to be in the Navy and always had pawnshop deals around payday if they could not pay off the pawn. John

Sounds like he knows what he's got, and priced it accordingly to me:shrug:

Exactly. I don't think it's all that great a deal. I'd be hard pressed to want to pay that....Espirutu's don't sell well at all in the 2ndary market.

Matt...There is no pawn shop in America that will give you $1000 for ANY cue/case...unless you could prove to them that it was a real Balabushka or Szamboti.
