Here's kind of a funny story about Marco. A few years ago, I was playing in a "king-of-the-hill" finals tournament, at Cue Can Do in Schaumburg. All the players were winners of prior weekly tournaments for the past few months. After playing a couple of matches, I played Neal Jacobs and won, advancing to the quarter finals to play Larry Schwartz. The tournament was handicapped, and we were playing 10-8. Larry had me beat...he was on the hill with 9, and I had 1 game...and I came back to win. Larry and I are long time friends, but he complained hard about me winning that match. Then I was matched in the semi finals with Marco, with the game at 12-10 (I got moved up after beating Larry). Again, Marco played great, and had me down 11-1. I came back to win 10-11, and Marco paid me a great compliment ("You play GOOD!")...LOL I returned the compliment, knowing that Marco is tough to beat in ANY match anywhere! Then I played Cardone in the finals, and basically RACKED for him, as he ran the match out. The match was 15-10, and I think I got to 3...LOL! All in all, I played one of the best tournaments ever, for me...and had fun at the same time! The moral of the story is...it's NEVER over til it's over! LOL

Does anyone remember the name of the Pool Hall in Chicago that was on Division street?:) Were talkin 1950-1960's era ?:)

You might be talking about the old Golden Eightball Billiards. Bensinger's was before my time, but I don't remember it being described as on Division St. Some of the older Chicago players, like Freddy, will remember.

I thought that was the Golden Cue...now, after reading the post before me, I am not sure either. There is a Golden Cue on Montrose now, but it is not the same one of course.

The one i was asking about, had a man's name in the title, and was on Division, maybe around The 2600 block?:)
