Dont Understand

What I don't understand is why doesn't all cuemakers get out standing pieces of wood like this and others?

I think best wood gets into musical instruments.

Richard Harris had access to some of the best Birdseye Maple I have ever seen. A friend of mine had one also with insane B.Eye.
