'Criminally good' O'Sullivan shot..................

It was a shot to nothing. If he misses it’s as good as a safety.

Right. If there was a sniff of a chance he'd leave even a mildly easy red for the opponent, he'd never had gone for this shot.
That is not always the case with Ronnie. He seems to taunt opponents with " I am going to take a chance on giving you a opportunity , because you can't beat me anyways"

The shot he makes out of the jaws is just plain stupid. Wow.
Being both a snooker and Ronnie fan. I think the reality here is he was in a better spot to take that shot on then he would have been if frozen to the rail on either side of the pocket.

I don't mean to down play the impressiveness(?) of the shot. Merely saying that from where he was, he could put a very good clean stroke on the ball.

I'll let you shoot it,say, for $50 a swing? ;)

lol... I can tell you that the $500 I would lose before I quit, wouldn't be because of a difficult cueing position... ;)

..again, I'm not saying that the shot was easy, and not impressive. Just that shooting out of the pocket as he was, actually made the shot easier, imo.

Great accuracy with snooker pockets.

One of the many shots where the principal focus is playing the white safe. However, Ronnie can now pot the black and can play for good position on the next red.

An aside: always best to note the score in both the frame and the match. Many ‘spectacular’ shots are players just ‘going for for it’ to please the crowd. In contrast OSullivan’s shot was at a critical stage of the frame and match…no messing around.

O'Sullivan came back and tied it 12 to 12. McGill won the decider for a 13/12 victory.
