Congrats to Wiktor Zielinski.
He has won number of Eurotour events and is youngest ever to win a Eurotour event. But I think this is first time a Polish has won an international ranking event outside of Eurotour and it is long overdue. Other than Fedor and Kaci, Zielinski and Sanjin are the 2 best young players out of Europe now

Don't mess with this polished gang. Just pronouncing their names is hard enough 😆

zielinski is very talented and a joy to watch. i usually root for one player over the other in these matches but both zielinski and yapp play pool the way i like it.

on another note, zielinski won the last eurotour event while worrying about his girlfriend in ukraine right when the war had broken out. so he definitely has the mental toughness

holy hell was he candid in this. I laughed out loud when they asked him about one pocket
It was good. Wish there were a lot more interviews like this, and more frequently. Wish someone would do a new one with Sullivan at the Derby. I think that one that pops up is five or six years old now.

Wow. That's bold. Casinos are known for tight security, so this must have been well planned or they DGAF.
For what it is worth the Facebook post says this has happened there regularly over the past few years and also that at least that room tower in particular has no cameras in the hallways. The best were the posts that said the fine police wouldn't look at the cameras unless there were violent crimes they were investigating.

The head of CSI should demand reimbursement or no more events at the RIO and yes i know there is a contract but I dont believe a Judge would uphold a contract where patrons are being regularly robbed -especially while IN THE ROOM.

PS- If the Mayor or Police Chief were robbed like that, the cops would look at the cameras!

The BEST young player out of Europe is Filler, period. He's only 24.

It happened recently at this past year's WSOP as well

FWIW, I always latch the dead bolt when I stay in a hotel and if there are additional anti entry devices, those get employed as well.

They’re up early this morning working on the tables. They must be having issues with the slate because they’ve had to drill holes in probably 3 or 4 of the tables and fill them with bondo.
By the end of this tournament, I would like to see a full explanation.
Level tables at any event, especially a Professional event is a must.
If it was a setup, poor training, skill issue. Ok, can be fixed.
If this an ongoing issue with this new Predator table. Wow, much bigger problem and maybe a product rushed to market with poor R&D.

Transparency though is key.
Just be honest with the players and TD's.
Work together to fix the issue, or credibility is lost and what often goes out the door with that are players and sponsors.

Any machinist levels in sight?

Yeah, they brought in Ernesto and he’s using legit levels.

That said, the nicest levels in the world aren’t going to help you level a table with bowed slate. So yeah, maybe the previous mechanics didn’t have the correct levels earlier in the week, but would it really have mattered? The tables needed holes drilled in the slate and you can’t do that with any type of level.

Hopefully they figure it out before tomorrow.

Many hotel room deadbolts and secondary latches can be defeated in seconds using readily available "tools" such as a Do Not Disturb sign.

Anyone know about this Zielinski best pool shot in 55 year's watching from one of the commentators?
He mentioned it in finals, can't find it on highlight reels.
