I am going to Kentucky to take the foundation course of CTE with Stan Shuffet in May 2012. I am very excited as I have been studying about the system and am amazed on how well it works.

Any suggestions/comments from anyone on how to prepare myself?

OR

Any feedback from anyone that has taken the course?

thanks

Stan is such a good teacher, there really isn't anything should do to prepare. In fact, it's best you don't prepare and go in cold. That way, you don't practice the wrong thing accidentally.

Stan is the best teacher out there period.... Take plenty of notes. He has done more for my game than anyone out there... You will be pleased!

The only advice I have is take along a GPS ..... LOL , Stan's place isn't the easiest to find the first time around.

lucky girl!!! i would love to spend time with Stan! he must be one of the top 3 advanced instructors in the world.

Any chance you could tell us how much Stan's class costs? How many days/hours of instruction is the course?

It's something I'd like to try.

So true! Travelling the curvy back roads at night is a definite plus for an adrenaline junkie! :D

Another important thing, Stan is on Central Time. Campbellsville is on Eastern Time. If you get a wake up call to be there at Stan's house for 8AM, you will be there at 7AM. Sorry, again Stan. Maybe this will make up for my too early arrival last time.

Best,
Mike

What I did was get the CTE/Pro One DVD and watched it several times. And then when I was at the lessons, I was able to ask specific questions that helped in the long run. I will say the face to face time with Stan was worth every penny! Will go back for the lesson on BANKS! Oh yeh!

........

I took the course in Nov 2010. His foundation course is phenominal. Because of his "previous" career as an educator/ teacher, he has a way of conveying the information. I still frequently practice his fundamentals. Take plenty of notes in the binder that he will provide you. You really don't have to prepare because he will critique you as is and provide "golden" feedback. Enjoy the ride and don't get lost.

Get a good nights sleep before you go. Stan gives you your moneys worth and then some. You will be tired and excited when you leave.

Stan is an excellent teacher and his foundation course is very informative. I enjoyed taking the course. The prices for his instruction is also very reasonable. Have fun!

Yes, I've got a suggestion or two. First and foremost, charge your batteries. You will need to be well rested to get the most out of Stan's Foundation Course.

Secondly, get your equipment fixed up so that you don't have to worry about a tip that's too short or too tall or a dirty shaft that is sticking in your fingers etc.

That's really about it.

Stan is one of the best instructors in the world. Students come from the banger ranks and the professional ranks to get his input and review and they come from all over the world.

Stan is the best out there. He teaches beginners all the way up to the pros. You will be very pleased with your experience.

GO with an open mind, listen to what he says, and why he says it. Forget about "how you use to do it" or what someone else may have told you, just embrace it. I"m sure you were going to anyways...but just in case.
Great guy, great instructor, and no ulterior motive, heck, his rates are just plain silly for what you get, could you imagine spending this much time with the top PGA coach in the US would cost ya ??

Good Luck and enjoy :)
