I really believe that it's only a matter of time until a DVD is released, probably from more than one source. "The early bird gets the cheese", or something like that.

A lot of folks are interested in CTE, but how many will put out the cash?
Of course, a lot will depend on the price, but I don't see any reason it can't be sold for what an average instructional DVD sells for now.

NOTE:

I should have added a couple more choices to the poll:

5 No I won't buy because I'm satisfied with my present system
...... and
6 No - unspecified reason

I really would like to get a feel for the interest or lack of on this subject, so if you want to pick number 5 or 6, I'd appreciate it if you posted your selection in this thread.

It is not coming out that I know of,I already use it but yes I would buy Stans video

I hope Stan resolves the legal issues and is able to produce it. Since he
already teaches the Pro One system, he's certainly well qualified to do
an instructional DVD in my opinion.

But regardless, if he isn't able to do it, I'm sure that someone else will.
There's just too much interest out there to keep it under wraps. Talk
about a starving market, look at how many are trying to learn it now with
incomplete, inaccurate, and misleading information.

I completely agree with you JIM

I've watched videos on CTE and on a couple of them the shooter misses A LOT and certainly hits the rails a lot on the shots that do go. I then just recently saw a guy quickly making a ton of balls but he pivoted from left to right regardless if the cut was to the right or left. (feel?)

I decided not to try to learn anymore about CTE until someone that can really teach and really make balls in the heart of the pocket will put out a DVD. If Stan does I guarantee I will buy it just as I've bought other pool DVDs.

Price is the key to weather I buy or not! CTE is a cool tool of what I know about it. Still baffled about banking with CTE.

Is there a way to edit the Poll Questions?

I should have added one more choice in the poll for those that won't buy the DVD because
they are satisfied with the aiming method they presently use.

If anyone knows how I can edit/add the choice, I'll do it.

Otherwise, sorry bout that ...............

It's tough to say because even if I decide I want to give it a serious try, it's hard to know who's a reputable guy to make it. The point's been made already about lots of different people having their own personal versions of CTE. I would want one from hal or someone who learned straight from hal (spidey?). Stan's a phenomenal instructor but I dunno where he learned CTE and I dunno if his variation of it is better, worse or what.

Ok, here comes the the hijack - apologies in advance ...

Does it matter which side you pivot from?

I'm not sure why information on this topic, which seems to have several new threads dedicated to it weekly, seems so elusive. The more a person prods for information, they either get, "well, this is how I understand it" answers, or the final "call Hal" (or "call Stan"). I'm not joking when I ask this, so please don't think I'm being sarcastic, but are people swearing to secrecy once they speak to Hal or Stan? I can't believe that someone who fully understands the system hasn't just posted something already. Either that or no one but those two fully understands it?

I've been somewhat inactive in the main forum for quite some time, so I apologize if those questions of mine have been asked/answered before. Feel free to PM me if you want to keep this thread on topic. :)

Simple right? Well this is all I am doing on every shot.

From all I've heard, I would prefer Stan's version of CTE, named Pro One. The fact that he is currently teaching it and has some good reviews is another plus. Let's hope that his is the first one to make it to DVD.

No that is not feel, it's Pro One or something awfully similar. I was taught by Stan and I come in right to left ( because I'm a lefty in pool ) on every shot no matter if it's thick or thin.

Both Stan and Spidey learned from Hal and these are the only two I would trust to make a video. There are a couple of posters like 8pack that know a little somethin' but I'm not sure exactly what. I'd listen to what he has to say.
