cue and warping

My poolroom offers the possibility of leaving your cue in a locker and recentely I'm leaving the cue in it. There is only room to leave the cue unscrewed in a vertical position. I'm wondering, is possible that leaving the cue in vertical line can warp the cue? Because the cue is not positioned in a perfectly vertical position but in a more oblique position.

I have a couple of lockers like that at our hall, but they fit the cues and their cases inside, standing vertically. I'd never lean my cue at an angle inside.
 
I'd be very hesitant to leave my cue at a poolroom. Maybe i'm just too paranoid but i can imagine so many things going wrong doing it...lol. There is always theft, maybe one of the people in the kitchen forgets to shut the stove off before leaving and burns the place down, maybe everything looks great but you show up one day to an "out of business" sign in the door...

I have seen the out of business sign more than once and people lost there cues.My cue comes home everyday no matter what!
 
We have them at my local hall and many folks use them. I would think as long as the cue is not leaning up against the side or the locker you would be fine. If the locker is not big enough to accomodate the cue upright, I would pass.

Hi,

I would not worry so much about a slight angle but I would focus if these new lockers are placed on an outside wall if there are winters in your zone.

the locker is big enough to accomodate the cue ( unscrewed) inside the case in a upright position.. You basically put the case in vertical position inside the locker but is not possible to put the case perfectly vertical unless you lean the case against the wall and you put something at the base of the case to avoid it moving...

No kitchen in this pool room lol.... also no music, no televisions. Only pool tables.
I would not worry much about the pool room going out of business.

the lockers are placed inside the pool room.

I wouldn't worry...if you can get it reasonably straight up and you don't leave it there for 6 months or more (without taking it out), I can't imagine it would cause a warp. The worse thing would be the temperature/humidity in the room than the attitude of the case in the locker. I don't store my cue in a room for that reason, plus I'm the only one responsible for my cue; and that's best done at home where I have air conditioning and can keep an eye on it everyday. But, if you're not comfortable taking your cue back and forth to the pool room and it's the only place you play at, it's your choice.
