cue anticipation

I've got a new cue hopefully coming this week, and find myself wishing it was here so I could go play with it tonight. Probably won't arrive until Thursday or Friday however. Was wondering if everyone looks forward to a new cue purchase. Going out to play with it, see what you can do with it. Does it help drive your desire to play? I know I usually only play once or twice a week, but will probably play that much by the weekend this week.

Well we like to call it "new cuephoria". It's that time when you get the new cue and it seems like you never miss. What happens is you increase your playing time, so you practice more. Plus I believe you concentrate more since its a new cue and you feel like your 3 balls better.

But don't worry, once that feeling goes away, you're still the same shooter. :) Just with a better cue!!

Oh I know for the first day or so I'll shoot lights out, after that I'll go back to my same old self *lol* Don't believe there are any magic cures for shooting bad other than practice, which I won't do. Just love new cues.

Yes, it sucks - especially when you know it will be a few months before it is even complete.... but hopefully your cuemaker will surprise you with an early delivery date... :D

Hopefully, you like your mail deliverer so you'll still smile at them even on days after your new cue arrives.

Our mail woman is very nice, though I'll be at work so I'll anticipate all day and then come home and not find it. *l* Of course the day it arrives I'll kiss my wife and tell her I have to go try it out.

I go through this with every cue I order. The closer it comes to delivery the more the anticipation...lol. I always head straight for the pool hall to try out my new baby almost as soon as I get it.

1ST time on long list

I will be on a 2 to 3 year list as soon I know what wood combos I want. This will be the first time I will be on a list longer then 5 months. It will be painfull at first, I know, does it ever go away? I think the only cure for the pre-cue-delievery blues, is to get on another long cue list.
