cue ball joint

Does anyone know the best ball to use if you are going to make it into a joint, other than ivory? I have wanted to try it for a while and figured this would be a good project to do it with. I originally hole sawed an old ball not thinking about them being weighted for the ball return. A few days ago I did an old red circle that was badly faded on one side and it seems like it will work fine.

IIRC - balls are all made from the same resin, soooo, any cue ball for
a real pool table should work fine. Another choice would be a stripe
from a set that has the number in the stripe itself. Center should
be white as...

Red circle is great. Light, strong, and very responsive. It is what I use in my cues.
