I was looking for some different cue balls, especially the really big one that some people called "mud" etc.

Was also going to get a measles cue ball but was turned off by the shipping cost for 1 ball and $2 more for insurance.

Does anyone know of a good site where I can find a larger and heavier cueball (for bar table use)

Thanks in advance.

Best wishes

I dont know why the heck people call the 2 3/8" ball a mud ball...... the mudballs were the old composite (possibly bakelite even) balls before phenolic was the new material.
Anyhow, check out Muellers www.poolndarts.com
They should be able to help you out.

Valley Bar Table.

None of the cueballs that I have seen are like the ones i'm thinking of.

Mountain Man used to have one of them and Mark Jarvis used to play Doug Smith with it. Don't believe it was a gold dot or black dot, but i'm stumped on what the ball is now.

Thank you for all of your replies.

The measel bal will not return to the cue ball slot of a Valley Barbox. Unless the table is ancient get the magnetic ball. the one with the green Valley logo.

aramith makes a magnetic cue ball as well and they seem to have a bit better reputation than valley and can get them at poolndarts.com, they carry a normal metal insert and mesh insert, and are reasonably priced except for shipping. I bought a $7 ferrule from them, the saber-t, which at best weighs 1/4 oz and they charged me $6 for ground shipping. on the other hand pooldawg.com carries the aramith magnetic with normal instert rather than mesh and offers free ground shipping with $50 purchase.
