Cue Caps, ToooooooMuch EYE CANDY

This was a surprise post for me, this morning.
This is my older site.
It's a free site, so, it doesn't work all the time.
Even when I try to make changes, it screws-up..
But, it's free, so, I can't grumble...

Thanks for posting Cowboy.. :)

Thanks Drew.... Here's a link another site with Cues I made.. ( I used Prather and Atlas Full Spliced Blanks)
http://cuecaps.weebly.com/at-cues.html

Yesterday,
I made this Bubinga scallop/v-point wrap-around "Cage"..
It crashed on my final cut!!!!:embarrassed2:
This is my 1st. attempt to do an A Axis cap.
Notice I say A Axis, and, not 4th Axis.. :grin-square:

Ring assembly

Here is how they will look when slid on the trendon..
This Cap is for Steve's (Tikkler) Paul Mottey Bubinga/Ivory Cue..

I always wanted to make a cap with a "wrap around inlay design"..
I admire Bill Stroud for his A Axis work.. His workmanship is amazing.
AND, of Course, Thomas Wayne...

My Cue Collection

I still have those Propeller Cues..
I'm so poor, I don't have money to collect cues, so,
I made my own Collection with the inlays and features I would have wanted to collect.
I was using a "House Cue" for so long (10+ years), I don't need a wrap..
I buy the Ebony Blanks from XXX, and, The Veneer Blanks from Jeff Prather.

I use all my cues. I just bring the one I feel like playing with.
I only play pool during the "Senior Citizen" discount hours.. :o
1/2 Price dicount and on $2.00 Tuesdays.
Notice my Cue Caps...
I'm so cheap, I can't afford my own work...
I love Hoppe Butts... :p
Oh yea, I don't sell cues..
I'm a Hack, or, will be labled one soon after... :p

Definitely NOT a hack!!!

Those protectors are going to look great on Steve's Mottey (in my top 2 all-time favorite Mottey cues).

LOL, I feel ya brother. It's tough when you make such beautiful things for others and don't think you can afford to spend the time creating some for yourself.

I have always admired the way Richard Black makes one cue per year for his wife. She probably has the best Richard Black collection in the country. And I heard that Bill Schick does the same for his wife.

This reminds me that I have to start Jessie's collection of JB Cases.

Well anyway your stuff is the NUTS. I can't imagine that any cue maker wouldn't be proud to have your caps sitting on his cue.

I have a confession to make. When I helped to design the Fury Evolution cues I insisted on matching joint protectors because I was inspired by all that you do. And FWIW those caps have been a big part of the cue's success. Thank you for jumping into this business and showing us all a higher level.

Alton

Your creations are only getting better as you master a new skill on a machine or figure out how to program the cuts within a CAD program.
It is always fun to open your threads and a chore to clean up my mess as I am always completely amazed at your latest creations.

Looking forward to the next implementation of news skills.

That is very humble of you to say and for that, deserve a whole new level of respect. Your work speaks for itself and I would be proud to own one of your cues. Keep up that amazing work!
