Have you ever sold a case that was a copy of one of Joe Porper's designs?

If you espouse buy American why do you sell imported products?

During thread it has become clear that one of our forum members is directly responsible for knock offs being manufactured in Asian factories.

That would be you because you sell them.

It is clear that he has been accused of this by other well known case makers, and he has admitted using designs of another case maker.

No, I was accused of importing a Justis knockoff which I did not do. Please try just once to get your facts straight.

He claims that his actions are justified because others have stolen his designs so it is nothing more than pay back or because they have customers he doesn't approve of.

No, I didn't say that either but I did say that I inherited a situation where cases are being made that are knockoffs of Porper's designs and as soon as I can I will phase them out of our lineup. I also said that I don't feel bad about this because Porper liberally borrowed from my designs. I don't feel that it's "right" for any distributor to knock off the products from others. I feel it's ok to make one's own version of a product though. So I am in the halfway position right now where we are still making cases that LOOK like Porper's old designs but they function quite differently as I have greatly improved the interiors.

As an example this is our interior;

In fact, although this case is similar to a Porper it's not a direct copy either. The exterior in fact is different than both the older versions of Porper cases and the newer versions.

Some of the cases that J&J sells (and you) are however 99% direct knockoffs of both old and new Porper cases.

Craig, please try to stick to facts. I know it's very difficult for you but try please.

It is hard to believe that anyone in their right mind would expect others to believe some one who does business in this manner has any moral convictions what so ever. I hope everyone can see his flagrant attempts at deflection of his own involvement in the knock off market.

Deflection? I am confronted with this every day. You are lucky to have someone like me on the front lines here who is willing to tell it like it is. Far better than your ignorant speculations.

You act like you have "outed" me somehow. I am the most open person on this board who is deeply involved in the billiard industry.

You think I am proud of the fact that I am involved in selling Porper knockoffs? Or Instroke knockoffs? Not in the least.

In the last year though I have introduced several new designs to the market including this one,

I wonder how long it will take your suppliers to knock it off? I hear that they already have.

In addition I hope people are aware of Karl's cues on ebay, and I hope if nothing else that people will not support this seller of others of similar Character in the future.

So basically you are telling people not to buy from you because you sell products from a company that knocks off others and doesn't give anything back to the sport?

At least Carl's Cue is honest about the knockoffs he sells. Unlike you.

2. Duration of bet 2 years from the next IPT event

You didn't commit to this - you changed the terms to suit you. Based on my original terms you lost. Although I do agree that you were right in the end that the IPT was unsustainable with KT at the helm. Not that it was helped at all by you and people like you. We will never know now but maybe if the IPT had somehow taken off then KT could have flipped it and gotten out of the way. Your actions certainly didn't help to make it a success.

My stake in the IPT was to see my friends who are professional pool players finally realize their dreams of being among their peers as well paid and highly regarded athletes. They had their hopes up and had a right to believe in it.

Your stake in it was nothing. All you did was work to bring it down. So if you caused anyone to pull their support for the IPT through your actions then you are partly to blame for it's demise.

You know how it goes when people start speculating about other people's personal lives instead of debating the topic at hand. All sorts of innuendo and false statements get made.

I never believed that nasty story about you and the kids anyway. You are way too smart to get caught.
