I am looking at buying a cue extension. Anyone have an opinion as to which one is the best or what is the best length to get?

Hager is the best and easiest I have used - just a plastic tube - I think they run $25- 30

You can get a good quality wood one from Brianna products that's reasonably priced

Thanks for the feedback guys. I think I know what I want I just can't decide on the size. Looks like most come in 12" and 15" that slide on, and the others in 6" that screw into the back of another cue.

I've had a Cue-Reach since they first came out. It's nothing fancy, just a plastic tube that slides over the cue. Other than a strange hollow "doink" sound when you use it, it seems to work just fine. I don't use it often, but it sure is nice to have it when I need it.
Twenty bucks.

Personally I'd rather have the longer one. I can always hold it further forward if I need to, but I can't go any further back if it's too short.

I'm a fan of the Longoni cue extension. Works great for me - a little
expensive at about $60.

Cue reach..... It slides over your cue adds more length than you will need does not damage your wrap or add much weight to the cue and works great. Looks like a vacum cleaner tube and some guys have joked about that and started to use a vacum cleaner tube. Personally for the 15 bucks this thing costs I do not not understand anyone using the vacum cleaner tube to save money and take a chance on damaging the wrap. I watched Corey Duel use one and learned a new way to use it. Lay it on the bridge put your bridge hand forward on the bridge and use your normal stroke instead of the dart stroke. You can get all the action on the cue ball you will need that way.

That's What I'm Known For.....My THINKING :)

I agree, the black plastic Cue Reach is all anyone needs. I believe that I bought mine from the maker John Stire at the Senior's event at the Hardrock here in Tampa about 10 years ago.

The only problem is that it was cumbersome to carry around. I solved that problem by attaching a shower curtain hook (shaped like a pear) to my zipper pull eyelet on the case pocket and through the hole that comes in the Cue Reach. The other end (the loose dangling end) was held in place by a rubberband around the case......... and VIOLA !

Doug
( my extendable bridge is made from an aluminum expandable 'golfball retriever', with a slip-on ferrule & tip attached at the end.......for under $20..........another VIOLA !) imo :)

yes i agree. it also has a fiber mesh lining that prevents scratching your cue.

i agree, the longoni is the best i've seen, it's great!

I have a cue that has a screw out extension as part of the cue. Just turn a couple of times and slide out when finished unscrew couple turns and slide back in. I also made a section that screws onto the butt shaft end and then you screw the shaft onto it. I put this on a seperate stick so when I need the long stick I just go get it like you would a bridge.
