cue finish

Brush on jus dont seem to go on smooth enough.
Even a small cheapie air brush is better than a brush.

Are you planning on using Endro Polly?

I tried brushing on the Minwax Polycrylic with mixed results. I used a foam brush to apply while the lathe was turning and then used a different brush to evenly spread and smooth the product. I felt that all I had done was get a good seal on the surface, I didn't get much, if any, product build up. It did dry crystal clear and took on a nice shine.

Anyone using a polyurethane brush on finish and if so tips would help.
When I started I used ZAR High Gloss poly. It came out smooth and stayed shiny for 8 years so far. Down sides: yellows because of the oil, takes a long time to dry/ finish a cue. Upsides smooth chip resistant fills grain nicely.

That product & process will turn very yellow with age.;)

I believe that I read somewhere here (anyone for an index?) that the Minwax Polyurethane yellowed, but, I didn't know that if the polycrylic would. As a side note/question, what are the tables at chinese resturants covered with? That seems to be a nice, clear, hard finish.

I believe that is casting acrylic.
