Cue for wife

OK, so she's a beginner, but usually in sports equipment I try to buy near the best. I think you can grow into good equipment and for sure that should not be the thing holding you back. Money is no issue in that case since a good cue should last pretty much forever.... That said, she probably doesn't need a Predator Blak. However, she does like mine.....😃

So, in looking at cues for women, there isn't much. About the best I see is the Athena cues. Not bad, but not low deflection either. Granted you can get low deflection cues for $120 (Ozone), but there are so many to choose from that this is probably not the greatest question for a forum... and so it just becomes a personal choice. Also, it seems that women's cues are lighter and only one inch shorter. I mean, what's that? I am confused. It doesn't appear that there's much difference between men's and women's cues....

Just get anything that your shaft/s can fit on.

She might not take to the game and you might need a backup some day.

If she decides it isn't what she wants in the longer run, she should prob make the choice herself.

Show her some of the posts in the for sale section. Let her pick one she likes, that way she'll be more keen to pick it up and hit balls

No such thing as cues for women unless you mean pink with flowers on it. The equipment is not different, pretty much anyone can use a standard 58" cue past a child size person.

gonna be honest with you and blunt, if money is no issue than you should invest a good cue for her and when she decide to quit you can use it as your own.. exmple of good cue: Mobley, Searing, Franklin SW, Kersenbrock, Hercek...........etc.... you know what that mean.....

If money isn't an option I would also go with something nice, maybe not super expensive custom. But, there is a lot of mass produced cues that are real solid. I would get one and maybe throw a carbon shaft on it, carbon fiber is just easier to learn to aim with in my opinion.

I would get her one of these Players cues, 18 ounce. in the color of her choice. They are excellent beginner cues, entirely competent. I've recommended them to many a beginner and they are decent cues for any skill level. Nobody has been disappointed.

Get a cue with adjustable weights so it can be customized to her liking

Pechauer can do their cues in a variety of options/colors.... Also personalized names and such for a small fee. If you'd like more customization than what is listed on their site, you can call them directly as well. No waiting 6 months or longer either. If you prefer a different pin/joint/collar, that can be done as well.

Go Falcons

I would not go custom and I would not buy expensive. The $120 cue mentioned above should be plenty. Your wife might not stick with it, same as with anyone who tries any sport. No telling how many wives bought golf clubs and all the gear and one year later, never touched the clubs again. But... pool is way easier to enjoy than golf, so, she might just be a long-termer! For most people, I doubt there is any playing difference in the $120 cue and an expensive one.

Also... do not get it engraved, lol!
