cue holders , for the pool room

Hi Guys,

I took a photo with my new camera phone and am trying to email myself, but so far it isn't working.

I'll either get someone else to take a photo or else I'll make 2 or 3 more and send them to you guys and let you evaluate them.

I've had others test about 10 of these so far (most lost them or left them behind in bars) and I think they've been proven. I'd love to have you try them , too, and give me good quality feedback.

Zim, I've got about 10 other inventions dealing with pool, too, that I've made for myself. I've considered marketing several of these, but time and money get in the way. Maybe I should look into it more? How about I come to St. Louis and we can do lunch and bang a few balls, too?...or meet you halfway?

Jeff- IMO, there's not a bad billiard gadget, it's just bad timing on the market! I'm always looking for "new" and creative ideas to offer to players. Meeting sometime for lunch and banging a few balls around would be great. I'm pretty busy with the Air Force right now, but could take a day off if you're in the area. You know how to get in touch with me, let me know when you've got some gadgets made and we'll set up a time/date/location to meet.
Thanks Jeff,
Zim

Cue holder

If your case will accept a cue butt first, you may want to think about this. Attach a couple of clamps to your case by way of two key rings and a strip of velcro or other means, clamp your case to the table or chair or whatever and place your cue in the case. I made a few for friends and they seemed to like them. The rig can be left on the case or removed and stored in the pocket. The clamps I used were shaped like battery cable clamps but made of plastic. The cable can be a trip hazzard though. lol

This is pretty simple to make and they are already on the market!

I know a couple of people who just carry bunjee cords with them and bunjee their Instroke cases to a table or chair. When done they just wrap the bunjees around the case.

Jeff,

Interested too.

Might try using a scanner if it's that small. They work pretty well for lots of smaller stuff.

Got you on the list, Dave. I've been working on a few, but have found that one of my main ingredients isn't available anymore, :( so I'm trying other materials/sources.

I think my new phone has flaws...the camera works but I can't download anything, the ringer tone is broken and it shows a phone number that supposed to be mine but isn't so the voice mail doesn't work either. So it's back to US Cell to see about a new one, I suppose.

Be patient, please,

Jeff Livingston

Thanks Jeff.

If you post an ingredients list, I'll be happy to see what I can find for you.

 CHEFJEFF  ,Ingredients? You bake them? Anything like a donut?J/K :)
Can't wait to see one if you get these marketed.

I also have the Q-Clip from Seyberts. Best product I have found for holding cues in the pool room. It is very secure and soft foam surrounds the cue for a secure hold. Cue needs to be pushed into the foam to seperate it enough to get it in.

I've got one of everything on the market that I can find and I agree that the Q-Clip is the best....BUT... it's hard to carry. Too big to fit in many, perhaps MOST cue case pockets.

That's my thought on it, too. That's why I made my version to fold down to about 3/4" thick. And it fits securely on a table or bar rail up to 6" thick, not the 2" max for the Q-Clip.

I've found enough of the missing ingredient to make five more last weekend,
and I think I've found a substitute ingredient that may be even better....so stay tuned.

If you can, include any prices that you think they would retail for.

Thanks,

Thanks for bringing this up again. I and I think others are waiting to see what he has come up with.

I can't imagine why it needs to whole a chalk, but whatever....
How much room does it take in your handy-dandy pocket on your Instroke premium case?

It doesn't fit in most cases, that's why it comes with it's own pouch that attaches to your case in a location of your choice.

Zim

It just doesn't fit all my criteria. I want my cue holder to hold the cue firmly..even if bumped a little. The part that holds the cue needs to be very soft...foam or it's equivilant. It needs to fit in my case, a Silver Fox, which does have big pockets. The Cue Clip from Seyberts is the best so far. It's just too dammed big to fit in most cases.

holders

Tried many, but the 'Claw' is best for ease of use and portability (getting into your large pocket of your case). It is smaller and more compact than almost any other holder.
