Thanks again Chop for the info, may throw

it up on ebay and see what it does.

I'm confused. Looks like yours has already been on Ebay.

Edit, OK, I see you probably just put it on Ebay. Not a bad looking cue, but I would try to put a better looking bumper on it. Also, spell Helmstetter's name correctly, as it may help with people who search with the cuemaker name.

All the best,
WW

The bumper is a hard to find original Adam.

Yup, misspellings hurt a sale.

And it's Adam, not Adams.

.

Thanks Chop, my bad I just copied and paste another ad and didn't proof it, good info on the bumper.

Now that I check, you're right, that bumper is an early Adam. I would say that it sticks out a bit more than most of them do; depends on how much bore the buttcap was given.

I am trying to remember, did this model always have a bumper, because a Rambow never did. I suspect it always had a bumper.

All the best,
WW

That bumper was an option for Adam cues of the cues of that era.

They often didn't come with it, but you could add it for a buck or so.

Personally, I would want one on the cue, just to protect it. Esy enough to pull it out.

I have a 1970 Adam with that bumper, Jayman said it was legit with or without the bumper.

Yes that is an original early Adam bumper. It was added later as the first series cues did not come with bumpers.

Thanks guys for the info about the cue I'm still waiting on the reply from schon it was $20 but no one seemed to know the model on here.

Just got reply from Schon, was told it is a SP32 Birdseye, Ebony and Ivory made in early 1990's, stated it would cost $1200 to make at today prices.

Think you might want to have Scotty beam you up. This is an Adam Rambow tribute thread, not a Schon of any kind.

All the best,
WW

Figured that would have been a different thread for a different cue. Anyhow, both nice cues. Back to the ale......

Hahaha... Romulin ale...

Try contacting Schon directly, they're usually pretty good about helping identify a cue model if it is was a standard model produced. If it was a custom request, they wouldn't be able to help you much other than tell you what model they think it might have been based off of.

Yeah, I did that's where I got the sp32 info from not much info they charged me 20 buck and took over a month.
