Cue idea. How much to build it? Chin below shaft

I had an idea for a way for me to get my chin below the shaft. The cue would be in a Z shape so the shaft would be above the butt end of the stick. How much would it cost to get a basic cue like this made?

This would allow me to get my eyes at the same level of the cue.

Or is this cue already been designed and is on the market?
Another way would be to make an attachment for your cue to make this shape or to shape the shaft to allow for this.

Are you serious? You would be jacked-up on every shot! Good luck!

Yes, I am serious. It is something I would like to try. Maybe not exactly how I explained it but I would like a way to get my eyes lower to the cue.

Actually I remember going to a BCA trade show in Louisville, Ky back in the mid 80's. There was a Chineese company there, with just such a cue. They were demonstrating it the other way around. With the shaft level with the table & the handle being higher. I almost bought one because they were so unusual. I don't know if they sold ANY...JER

The problem is that your chin is in the way. What you need to do is have your eyes moved to the bottom of your chin.

haha meucci, that was too funny.

but seriously, when your eyes are cue level, you have no depth perception, bad idea i think. just my opinion though :)

The whole purpose of aiming from above the cue is you can sight down the shaft of the cue. This provides a line by which to aim with. The lower you get to the shaft, the shorter and more distorted the line would appear to the eye. You'd have less by which to aim with.

If anything, you would benefit from a longer cue, say 67 inches and you could have a 18 inch bridge by which to aim. :D

Seems that way to me, Usually, when I get down too far, and part the hair on My chin :p , I am in a sort of defensive mode/stance, and out of My natural stance, and more then likely in trouble. I know shooters that play great like though, and i have at times, but just not My natural style of aiming overall.

Speaking of a longer cue. I was talking with a gentleman the other night at a match, I met him, and have ran into a few times this year. We were talking, I brought the subject of building myself a longer cue, and he said He had several long customs, 1 of them was 65 inch, and he told Me it plays like a dream, and a longer cue would probably solve a few of the issues I mentioned to him. He invited me over to shoot sometime on his nine, and try out a few of his cues, to get idea's from. This fellow was a firm believer in them, and strongly suggested I try It. The guy is quite a bit taller then Me, but we have about the same reach.
He seems like a nice guy, shoots a pretty good stik, and seems pretty knowledgable, so might take him up on the offer sometime, to see what a cue that long feels like. I'm sure I can deal with less though, might be alittle more then I'm looking for, but he said he had several others in between 60 -65 inch to shoot with also.

I don't know about putting your chin below the shaft, but this guy has already built a Z-shaped cue.

Strange as that cue may seem, I wondered about such a design myself. It's more ergonomically correct. It's kind of the same concept as the E-Z curl barbells.
