Can someone help me identifying, what kinda cue this is?
It is a 5/16-14 double joint, and I've never heard about or seen this thread...

Very unusual. I've never seen a shaft tenon threaded like that either.

Buffalo and Adam used this type of joint quite a bit. Don't recognize the cue though.

I wonder if the joint was installed backwards and whoever did it decided to thread the tenon. Sounds crazy but just a thought.

I am thinking that is a Viking butt, and non matching shaft. The shaft had a wooden talon, that was "threaded" by the butt when it was screwed together.

looks like the joint was reversed for some reason and the shaft forced on the threads. a hack job or an experiment by some custom repair place.

I like this cue a lot.
The Viking 'super joint' was metal into metal.
This joint might be the ideal hit for me.

whats the forearm look like, under the bumper, etc? any ivory, or all substitute materials?

If you have calipers, can you measure the joint at both the shaft side and the handle side and let us know the measurements?

Thanks for the suggests so far!

Tate, it's not my cue. Someone wants to sell it over here and I found it interesting. But before considering in buying this one, I thought this forums with the huge knowledge of so many guys could help!

The owner says, a normal 5/16-14 shaft would also fit to the joint.
The shaft has both threads, inside and outside.
Seems, like the materials are ivory substitute. Owner can't tell.

OK, I was just wondering if the joint was reversed. Joints usually taper down a bit from the handle side to the shaft side. Sorry we couldn't help!
