Cue identity?

Looks like bandsaw material to me
U always have something negative to say about someone's cue if it isn't a top tier cue markers cue.
I see it now the bottom ring work isn't the same, didn't see that at first.
Ive seen a lot of cues from very well known makers that if they wasnt signed people would say good lord thats hideous...most of which were probably ordered that way by the customer. It looks like the rings match above and below the handle and the buttcap ring matches the joint. A closer pic of the joint would verify that. Im not sure what it is but its one of two things, either an import or something not from a novice builder. It looks like the points and buttsleeve diamonds line up with the dashes fairly well but the logo is offset, thats about the only thing I see thats asymmetrical.

If the cue looks awful, what the heck.
When it looks bad from the logo all the way to the rings and the floating points inside floating points, I think it's OK to say something.
People need to know not to spend good money on stuff like that.
Not at all, I'm worse on the top tier guys. Im also negative on cheaply made cues that guys make and ask $stupid prices for. Several can't even put a finish on or do things in a timely manner, but ask $1000+ for a cue that ranks even with Walmart for playability and quality.
This particular cue has crooked inlays inside floating points. Cues with those attributes sell on eBay for $80 from the Philippines. Those cues also play like a joke most of the time.
The real market killer is a lack of appreciation for quality. Because this cue has lots of inlays, I could see someone buying it and listing it on eBay for hundreds of dollars.
It is worth about what I suggested, and the disconnect from reality hurts the market.
Are you buying it to play with? Does it hit OK and feel OK? How are the inlays in person? Do you like the look? From the way the finish and wood selected look, it looks fine. But can't tell much without actually holding it and hitting with it and checking how good the inlays are put in and how good the finish is. Usually you can tell a badly build cue by the finish quality.
The wood looks good, that is a clue to me that whoever built it at least knows what cuts of wood look nice. Grain is nice, the maple is nicely figured/flamed/tigered. It may not be the prettiest but I don't know if anyone can tell the construction quality of it from the pictures. If I just went by pictures, I'd say it was a decent local cuemaker that built it.
