Just putting this here- because you guys are looking for cues... Maybe someone will offer you one real cheap..
(gotta laugh... it keeps me from crying)

Mishawaka Indiana - South Bend
Dave from D&D Cues called me this morning to inform me that his Cue-Repair-Trailer (pulled behind his truck) had been broken into and all his Cues, Cases, and equipment had been stolen. He was there to work the Tournament in SB. The only thing they left him with was the Lathe and equipment/supplies that were locked in it's cabinet. He has no internet access to post this himself so I'm trying to get the word out ASAP.

Dave had my complete inventory of Cues with him. About 50 or so cues. He also had a large inventory of Sterling Cues and Cases.

ANYONE in that area that can contact local pawn shops or otherwise help out would be much appreciated.

As for MY Inventory: It is documented on my webpage here:
http://ncsdc.com/Cues/BilliardGallery.htm

There were 24 Jacksons, a few Vikings left, Helmstetters, Malis, and Sterlings... but mostly you should be able to recognize the JACKSON cues. They aren't really a common cue-maker, so someone with several of them would be suspect. Especially if they don't know much about the company. Some are 1-of-a-kind and will be identifiable as "ours" because they vary from the production cues. If you see or hear of ANYONE selling (several) Jackson, Viking, Hemstetter, or Malis... try to get a name/number contact info etc... ,

**If someone could post to the BD Forum (I'm not on there yet).. or any other Billiard Forum they can think of. ... PLEASE Help us out.

Thanks,
Dave from D&D

I live in lafayette. I will keep an eye on the pawn shops and inform the pool halls here. I have a friend in kokomo. I will tell him this.

Chicago to Toledo here, will keep an eye out. Best of luck on this one!!!!

Curious, how can there be another Omega??? Isn't that a little.... ?

Do rewards ever work?

I don't know, but with that big of a haul, it might be worth it to place some reward notices around in pool rooms for information leading to the recovery of the items and apprehension of the thieves. Sometimes, someone know something about it even though they weren't directly involved, and a $$ reward will get them to talking.

Worth a try unless you were insured and don't really care to recover the cues.

1st, this sounds personal. Someone knew what was there and had been around often enough to know about security, alarms, or the lack there of.

2nd, I doubt that with this quantity of cues, you will see them in a pawn shop. pawn shops send in police reports daily, and that many cues showing up that fast will raise to many flags.

The cues will have to be moved on at a time, not in bulk. My best guess would be to keep your eyes open at the large events like Valley Forge. Especially near the money tables.

You should also keep looking around Craigslist. Since it is an annonymous board, there is less likely it is a bad seller will get caught.

Good Luck.

It was a Portable Cue-Repair Trailer

I guess I need to be a bit clearer.

Dave of D&D Cue Repair (High-Point, NC) was in South Bend to work the tournament being held there. His truck and trailer were parked in the Red Roof Inn parking lot in Mishawaka. That's where it was broken into and the items stolen.

The trailer has "D&D Cue Repair" on the side... so it was fairly obvious what was in there. It could have just been local thieves, or someone else perhaps attending the tourney.

It will be hard for us to keep tabs on the "local" places from 500 miles away.

We are just asking for help- to spot anyone selling NEW Sterling cues and Cases, or several NEW Jacksons, Vikings, Helmstetters, and Malis.

MY CUES- are the one's on the website. As I said... some have been sold recently- so the website is out-of-date. They were all stored in the Roll-up cue dealer's cases (3).

I plan on watching CL and eBay as usual. As I posted, some of the cues are 1-offs, so they can be identified easier than the production cues as being "mine".
