Have you ever cut a cue apart hoping to find the secrets of the world, only to find that there is no secret ingredient in the "Secret Ingredient Soup?"

<~~~If you have never seen Kung Fu Panda, this will make no sense.:p

I cut one apart to find it had a nylon bolt for the forearm/handle splice!!Was a real surprise!!

I have cut apart many, many cues over the years. This one was supposed to be different. This maker is special. One that most normal, sane people would never cut apart. I was meticulous and took very detailed notes as I went, assuring everything went back together the way it was originally made. I looked forward to the job ever since I received the cue, on Thursday. I expected to find the "secret ingredient" of this cue maker in the process. Not only was there no secret but I was disappointed in the actual construction.

I guess it is like meeting your childhood idol only to find out he is a jerk.

<~~don't ask who......;)

The secret is one single drop of his blood that is dripped into the A-joint prior to assembly. You can't find it because it was absorbed, and now serves as the soul of the cue! Now that the secret is out, his cues will be used to generate clones of their maker once human cloning technology has been perfected in the year 3000. ;)

I done the same thing with one of the exclusive makers' cues. It had a broken joint and I was digging aroumd the "A" joint to see what makes his cues tick. He had drilled and tapped up into the forearm about 5 inches and the bolt he used only went about an inch up leaving about a 4 inch hollow space. The cue building detectives we have on here sometimes would be calling for this man's resignation as an exclusive cue maker.

Does this work Mr. H. I planned on doing this but was afraid it the cue would start killing people like that old car in the movies. If I remeber correctly didn't someone get hurt on the assebly line? Anyways, I decided not to temp the wood gods.

Jim.
