Cue reviews

Sweet cues, Tommy. And great subjective reviews. Sounds like you are like me and find something to love about every well made cue. They are like your children, no way to love one more than the others.

Please be sure to also post this in the Cue Review Section where your thread will be seen by folks looking for a review on a pool cue.

Thanks for the advice...this is why this forum is dying. I just might delete the post to make you happy. Who cares about how cues like this play anyways

Tommy.....a lot of us do....most of us don't own a cue from your cue-maker......how would we ever learn more to become interested other than just going by assumption.

Please bring back your prose on the review of these great cues. There's nothing wrong with having your thread in two locations and you can post anything pool related on the Main Forum. My point was some folks may not browse this section thoroughly to spot your thread if they were looking to check to see if there were any new cue reviews which yours would be.

Yeah, the Forum is less than what it used to be but not nearly as much as it could become.....it's the best alternative until someone wants to tackle a profit-motivated website that can accomplish a lot more. Up until then, enjoy what's available and threads like yours....and cue photos.....the more the merrier......are what helps keep this joint around.

Thanks,

Matt B.

The purpose of the post was not to show off the cues but to give a little insight into how these cues play. I guess the post bothered Matt so I deleted it.

I don't see how that makes any sense. There really is a cue review sub forum.

But OK. Post it where you like. No problem.

This is why the forum is dying? Do you mean people deleting their own reviews?

I work a lot of hours. I saw this post while I was working and planned to come back to it. Got some family time in after work and came right back here to enjoy your post.

Post is gone. It's your post so you can do as you like.

Kind of a fun sucker, but at least the pic is still there.

Tommy....did you read my last post before posting yours?

Not really the case at all......perhaps in hindsight I should have sent you a PM.
I thought it was worth mentioning that there's a Cue Gallery on the Forum so
new members can acquaint themselves with what the Forum is all about.

I am not a Moderator and haven't any desire to become one or act like such.
The Main Forum is about anything you want to post.....it's a potpourri of topics.
Sorry if you inferred my post was scolding you for doing something inappropriate,
heck no.....besides as far as I'm concerned, posting photos of cues without also
including some comments about the cues or cue-maker is akin to watching an
old silent movie but the subtitles are missing.......the words help make it interesting.

There are already too many soup nazi types on the Forum & I don't want to be one.
As I wrote in my prior post, I do hope you bring back the narrative on these cues.

Matt B.

p.s. Guess which one I fancy........nice stuff buddy.....really great!

Sorry to have missed out on the review.
When I see a thread started by Tommy, I generally get excited especially if it is a review or a thread that is show casing some of his gems.
Tommy has an exceptional collection and I really wanted to see this thread before it was removed.

I personally think the main forum would have been a good place for this thread and hope to see this topic again soon - hardly ever visit the Cue Review Sub-forum.

Tommy - Looking forward to seeing you again in the future.
Myron

Was the Haley part of the Review - miss seeing your cue?
From a time when many Haley cues were in attendance at SBE...

Well if you missed the review the main take away of it is that I need to try a szamboti and perhaps a mobley. There, everyone is up to speed.
In all seriousness, it was a nice helpful review.

Wasn't it you who called me a Nazi, the other day? My, my, my. Now look at you.

I mentioned that he should "also post" his thread in this Cue Gallery but it's not there and it sure isn't here.
The Main Forum is for posting anything and the Cue Gallery is usually where people go to see cue pics.

If everyone just decided to put any thread on the Main Forum, rather than the appropriate sub-forum for the
thread's subject matter, it would become a chore to look for photos of pool cues instead of looking in
the Cue Gallery.

Tramp......sorry about the other day but this place is becoming an enigma of feelings and ergo, a lot less interesting.

Here's the deal....I didn't like the way you played forum cop and wanted to relegate my post to some obscure sub-forum, the Cue Review forum NOT the Cue Gallery as you just mentioned. I thought some people might enjoy observations on the playability and comparison of those cues...Boar, SW, Szamboti and Mobley and maybe I'm being pompous but thought it deserved better than that sub-forum.

I have been a member of this forum for 11 years and have bought and sold many, many high end cues...Simply wanted to share some info and observations. This forum is starting to get tedious with all the nit-picking and negativity. I sometimes think about all the time I could save daily by not visiting here.

Tommy, I enjoyed your post and seeing it in the main forum. Don't let it get to you. For one reason or another Matt REALLY likes to hear himself talk.

I really don't think any particular forum or sub-forum is "better" than another. But certainly this one gets more views.

I do care that you wanted to share.

I also care that now you don't want to.

If your notion was to post in the main area because your cues or in fact you are more important, well...I refer to your own statement above.

There are a lot of posts/views on the Revo shaft thread in the main section. That seems to be more deserving than a sub forum. what ild like to know is what aiming technique worked best with each cue.
