Cue sold on Ebay and Paypal question

Hi Shawn.I just got cleared here to post here.I am looking forward to the Farris cue,I don't know how to ease your fears....I would be in the same shape if things were reversed.Paypal fees are high enough without adding this to it.Only thing that I could see is to offer escrow with ecsrow accepting a credit card for payment. As I have said before I have 127 feedbacks on Ebay with 100% positive and there should be no problems. You have my name, address, and phone#.I am not looking to rip anyone off and just want to complete buying the cue from you.Sincerely,Jerry.

As I told you on the phone, the cue will ship tomorrow. After speaking with you, seeing your ebay feedback, I dont have a problem with this at all. It just sucks about the Hold on the payment, but that is not your fault. I have no problems with you and I hope I didnt come across that way, if I did, I am truely sorry. People are always getting ripped off in one way or the other, I just dont want myself, or you to get the short end of the stick....

Again, I feel with the communication I have had with you, your ebay feedback, I dont think there will be any issues. Cue will be insured for the amount of the cue and I will provide all tracking and insurance numbers tomorrow afternoon......let me know when you recieve the cue and leave ebay feedback for me, so I know approx when the money will be released from paypal....

I know you will not be dissapointed with the cue......

I put a Farris cue up for sale on Ebay maybe 2 hrs ago..I put a buy it now at 850.00.. The cue sold in about an hr. It said the funds were in my paypal acct. I checked it, and the funds were in there but said

On Hold-Ship now

I read a little more about it and it said that they would release the funds one the guy recieves the cue. I have 100% feedback on ebay with 36 items sold and purchased and 4 of them items I bought that were over 5K. and 6 items I sold that were approx 2500.00.

I have never heard of this funds being in your acct, you ship the cue, once the person recieves the cue paypal will release the money.

Have any of you ever had this happen? I hate to ship a cue and then the person somehow take the money back or whatever. Any ideas of suggestions?

Im not here to rip anyone off or be ripped of, I just want to protect myself and you guys here are top notch and are always looking out for fellow AZ'ers!

Thanks guys,
Shawn

When the Wii first came out, Paypal made this mandatory for all ebay sales on them. All I did was ship it out with a delivery confirmation. Once it was recieved I sent paypal the delivery confirmation number, they looked it up, and finally released my funds. It still took them about a week and 2 phone calls before they released it though.

Good luck!

I bought a Frey cue off of Ebay a few months back. Paypal took the money from my account instantly $375.

A few days go by and I contact the seller he is waiting for paypal to release the money. A week goes by and I contact him again, he is still waiting for the funds. I call paypal they say I will have to talk to ebay.

I call ebay they say the seller will have to ship the cue first and then if I leave positive feedback paypal will release the funds. I told them I thought it was fubar since they took the money with in micro seconds of my hitting complete transaction on paypal.

I contact seller and tell him the deal, understandably he is hesitant. We talk about canceling the transaction. He ships me the cue I give him positive feedback.

I cancel my paypal account after he has his money. No more ebay for me.

Hmmm, I won't put my card number on the net...call me an old curmudgeon.

That aside, it seems to me that ebay and paypal are working a "float" of sorts...thinking of all the transactions they do, the interest they could make on the money they hold up for a period of time. It all adds up...in the favor of ebay and paypal.

Cue sent and I provided tracking info to you in a PM. Cue should arrive by 3pm friday 4/3/09. Insured and signature is required to pick up the cue. Please let me know when you get the cue.........

This happened to me a couple times, but like someone said up thread, if you pay and arrange the shipping on Paypal, the money from the buyer is automatically released. You can only do this with UPS or USPS though, no Fedex.

You already shipped, so too late, but if it happens again you will know how to get your money faster. The buyer sounds legit, should be a good transaction.

I would just like to state that nuts4pool recieved the cue today. He paid through paypal on a buy it now and paid immediately. So this transaction was perfect. Once he leaves feedback I should have the funds released to me. There was great communication with him and this as scary as it was in the beginning, was absolutely no hassle whatsoever...I would not hesitate to deal with him again...........Green rep for you nuts4pool...this is how every transaction should be on here!
