Cue Specification Questions

1. When you measure the length of a cue, do you include the bumper or only to the end of the buttcap? Also, do you go to the end of the tip or only the ferrule?

2. When measuring the diameter of a shaft, do you use the tip, the ferrule or further up?

3. When weighing, do you leave the joint protectors on? Just kidding...
 
1. Length is measured from the top of the ferrule to the end of the buttcap.

2. Usually this measurement is taken where the ferrule meets the shaft.

3. Set your scale for Tare, weigh, then remove the shaft or butt. This will give you the exact joint protector weight LOL:D :D
 
For me,

1. Length of cue is from end of buttcap to ferrule.

2. Shaft diameter = diameter of shaft where it meets the ferrule. But I would check the ferrule too to see if it varies from top to bottom.

3. No kidding, you mean to say you must get those damn things off when weighing??:D
