Cue Storage

Am I doing my cue any harm by leaving it in one piece while lying on its side on my table at night? Not that I've noticed anything, but don't want to risk anything either.

Otherwise I can store it vertically if that's considered better. It just that sometimes I don't know when I'm quitting for the night, and I forget.

Thanks in advance.

I personally prefer to store a cue as close to vertical as possible. That way gravity has a minimal effect, i.e. doesn't lean on the taper etc.

Table cue

I have one that is almost always left on the table and have yet to see a problem and it has been there for 6 months.

Makes sense to stand straight up, however I always place or leave my cue on the table because it's a safe place, no falling over. Also keeps idiots who insist on breaking one second after you finish racking. Very rude. Always wait for the racker to get completely out of way. Just courteous.

All very good points. I have dogs, and my dogs have tails. Nuff said there. (Idiots don't get invited to my poolroom, unless they're AZ idiots).
