That's what I would expect with most phenolic tips. However, my phenolic-like BK Hybrid tip performed well in the video I will be posting soon.

You are correct. This was not planned, but I thought it was necessary. I hope the Soft Tip Mythers try out the tests on their own. The tests are easy to do and don’t take very long. The shooting and filming for the entire video took me less than an hour. (The script writing, narration, editing, and production take way longer.). The careful fast-speed and slow-speed tip hardness tests took only about 15 minutes each.

I just watched this. Great video.

When I play and "want more spin", I focus on just following through further. I bet it's not doing what I think, and just has me subconsciously changing the stroke speed or accelleration at impact. But I'm curious if you've ever broken down followthrough before.

Seriously though, good job on the video. It can be concluded that the cue ball revs per foot traveled is extremely nearly the same for all 3 tips, as well as the fps traveled? The only difference is the fps the cue tip was traveling during impact?

Very good. I don’t think I would have believed that soft tips can get more spin on the cue ball, but I am surprised that break tips can get just as much.

Honestly, I was also surprised my break cue could get as much spin as the Revo with the soft tip. Although, one does need to be extra careful chalking the break tip. It doesn't hold chalk as well. I used Master Chalk for the video since it went on the break tip much better than the Taom chalk I usually play with at home.

Maybe the "lip stick" texture of Kamui chalk would apply better to the break tip?
