Cue Tips

for center ball shots tip hardness does not matter.

for off center ball I feel more control with soft tips.

I am modifying screw on tips if you want to use both during a match. Tip changing during a match is a gamechanger. Its like tires in a Nascar race. Tires win races.

This guy gets it. Change tips during a match, change shafts based on the shot. Hell, grab a different cue only for kick shots. It really helps the mind to focus.

To answer OP, I'm not a fan of Kamui black, they glaze over too easily. Kamui brown hard play decently well. However a good old triangle or le pro is always a good choice and very cheap. Lately I've given ultraskin hards a chance and I have to say they are very impressive.

I tried the kamui black soft and hated it, glazed and mushy feeling. Switched to a kamui black medium and it plays great.

Best bet is bring a golf bag full
of cues.

Howdy All;

My thought is Cue tips are like our Lady friends; Rub her on one Butt cheek and
ya get rewarded. Rub the other one and ya might get yer face slapped.

Find what works for you on the shaft and ya get rewarded, different tip ... well,
who knows. YMMV.

I've tried two of the kamui, never liked them. Way too expensive, for what you get.
I'll stick to my triangles. And Medium priced layered tips all day long!!

Thats the future of pool.

Give players the best equipment for each specific type of shot.
Do you post goofy things just to screw with people here?
Your grammar is much better than Cocobolo Cowboy but your subject matter is about the same.
