Cue value, Masonh

For a point of reference, I sold a used MasonH cocobolo merry widow for $450 about a month ago.

He said it was a MasonH. He probably bought it new from Mason. Pretty well verified. It looks like Mason's work and it looks like a Davis blank.

Mason had a bit of following on AZ around the time the cue was made.

Around that time, a Davis FS blank was probably about 350 with those veneers, maybe a bit more.

You add all of that up, the cue is more desirable than you believe.

Why do you care so much, anyhow? People already came on telling you they know who MH is. True to your MO, you can't admit that you don't know shinola about this, but you have to keep hounding.
 
I had a number of Mason's cues back in the day. They were well made and had a solid hit. The ones I had were not Davis blanks, and were around $850 15 years ago.

Thank you for the response. It has been awhile for me, but that sounds about right. I remember trying to get an African Blackwood cue from home with no success, pissed my off so I sent him a blank. You are right they hit great. Now I have to decide keep or sell??
