I'm just starting to design my next custom cue and I was wondering if there is software available that allows a person to select different types of woods/points/wrap/rings in order to preview what a particular cue design would look like when finished.

It would be a great tool IMO.

Tried it. Unfortunately, its capabilities are limited at this point.

Anybody know of another?

Not bad but I wish you could download the program so design work could be done the way it should be, in private.

Sure you can Micheal. It's a Flash movie so you can save it as a .swf file on your local PC with the right tools (Let me know if you need help with this). Then you'll find it open it with the local Flash viewer that's is automatically installed when you install the Flash player web plugin. The only issue is saving the designs, but you can always take a screenshot if this is important to you.

I have tried to save this to my computer but when I try to open it, it doesn't open. It only opens thru the link provided above.

For visualization the AZ cue program is a great help. The great thing is its free.

But nothing beats a great drawing program like Atelier. Heres something I rendered before I starterd posting here.

Sorry guys, it is not a proprietary program for designing cues, nor can I develop one.

I've improved it a bit for a more real life look.

BTW - I've offered to draw Cigar Dave's upcoming cue, to which he took up. I hope we see the drawing and the built cue when he decides to post it.

And I will Freeman. Thanks so much for your help. It's been a tremendous benefit thus far (Freeman's done three versions of my new design thus far... and I'm really glad that he's helpin' me see the differences in a finished cue).

And Freeman, I hope that I won't drive ya nuts making these little changes. :)

Thanks again brother!!

Freeman,

Could you give the website for your drawing program? I looked up in google, but I'm not getting anything about a drawing program. Thanks.

I looked here and could not locate the program you used to make your cue design. Could you be more specific. Cool site.

Yup, this is the site of the developer.

I have several more boxes of this program (licensed original).

if you have had no prior experience with a similar drawing program. It'll take weeks or months.
