ok so i have been thinking about this for awhile now and wanted to see what you guys thought about it. take all custom cues give then basicly a VIN number and have them registered in a database with the maker date made and dates sold along with any cue work on it. this way people who buy custom cues know what has been done to the cue they are buying. yes before you say it, it is basicly like CarFax.. but do you guys think this would work for cues??

thats a super bad A$$ idea, but you have to get all the makers to comply.......

or at least have every maker put at least some kind of makers mark on their cues as some don't put anything, or its hit and go with distinctive marking.

Won't fly, cues are not regulated by law to provide the information that car manufacturers, sellers, and owners have to provide. End of idea.

However, there are makers that have taken steps to positively identify their cues, and kept records of the build. But you would only know about that if you owned one of those cues.

i know they arent required but isnt there a organization of cuemarkers that can pass an amendment to identify the cue like burn numbers or symbols in the butt like where the bumper goes in. this is just an idea and with any idea there are rough drafts before you have a final.. so if we talk it out we can come up with something
