Cuemakers - We all make cues, like BLACKHEARTCUES, I do test run all the cues I make. I am just wondering How you play? Be honest, and let us know how you play. I know it is hard to judge, but give some tournament results, give ranking in your leagues, or name some names that we might see on TV :) I will start off this honest thread:
I am a 7 in APA - Valley / Bca 9 handicap
C+ player 9 Ball Tournament, and probably favored to win that bracket.
Practice about 1 hour a week if I am lucky.
One Pocket, I am not old enough to play :)
bankes I cannot spell it (LOL) :)
All play is on Bar Tables, not many big tables in our area, and the one place to go, I cannot find time to get there.
Gamble but some say stealing. I usually have the "NUTS" when I play :)

I doubt he would say it himself so I will say it for him :D

Mike Webb is a SOLID B player. More table time and he could easily reach A status.

I never play leagues so I don't know how I would be rated. I play good enough to cash in the better amateur tournaments and win a lot of the smaller ones. I play in some of the pro am events and rarely cash, but it sure does feel good to beat a pro once in a while.
I have run 50+ in straight pool.
Ran 5 racks in 9 ball.
Ran 3 or 4 in 8 Ball
Ran 3 in 15 ball rotation.
So I would say I am a B player by Atlanta ratings.

I knew your son played real good, so I figured you did also Chris. I have ran 37 in straight pool, but I do not play "Big Table" much.

I've played for as high as $100 a game. About 15 years ago I was the only 8 in our league. Since then, I've had 2 heart attacks & the eyes are not good. I play APA & one other league & now am a 5. I play 5 days a week, 9' & 7' & every once in a while, some 10' snooker. Now I love to teach the younger ones, what little I know...JER

I'd say in APA I'm a solid six, and have a few tropheys, but at times I would be moved into a 7 slot. I was invited to play in that masters they have before, and they have some people that do well in tournaments with pro level players that play in It, so I guess I play alright when I'm in stroke. Some nights I can't play a lick though. My game Is'nt consistent enough for My taste, and I don't play as much as I use to.
We were playing BCA, but My father had a heart attack, and We dropped out for a session or 2, but thinking about getting back in now that He's recovering. I just like hanging with My Dad and shooting, he's My Best buddy, when We're not at each others throats LOL:D We've played alot of pool together over the years.:)

My Son plays 8 ball and 9 ball a little better than I do, but our matches are subject to go either way. On looser pockets we are almost even and on tighter pockets he plays at least a ball better than I do.

I play a lot of local tournaments and win my share of those. I Mostly play on 7 foot bar tables.
8 Ball in king in my area and I have ran 3 racks --- I'm probably a "B" player by most measures.
best regards

Barrenbrugge Is A Stone Cold Killer!!!

Dave visited my house last week and we played. Not only does he hardly miss, he doesn't hesitate to try and hide the cue ball if he doesn't think he can make the shot. He is no fun to play with!!
BTW-every time I've stopped in at his place-he's playing pool-not building cues::D

Bar table 8 ball, and I get the breaks :)

As long as we play one set with you breaking, and one with me breaking. You get the 8 when I break.

The bet is 25 shaft dowels per set (and you know which ones I'm talkin about).

Meet you in the action pit at expo, Thursday night, 10pm. Don't you chicken out neither!

I wonder who makes those butterflies then :D

Can sometimes get serious enough to play for some but most of the time can get sneaked on when playing for TT or drinks with friends. No barboxes or loose pockets where I play here in the Philippines but was an APA7 when I was in the USA.

Haven't been playing in tournaments lately as my shooting glasses got shattered by my 3 year old. Started needing those as those magnifying visors, that I use for work, are hell on the eyes.
