I'm referring to the machines they use to measure frequency of vibration. It's used to determine the relative stiffness of golf shafts. As I remember, the shaft is struck somehow, and a radar device(not sure) measures how long it vibrates after impact.
Someone should be able to come-up with a similar counterpart for measuring the relative stiffness of cue shafts. You would get a numerical readout that would simplify a buyer's selection.
