I finally got 3-4 finished up for the West Coast Cue Show. Unfortunately I can not be there myself. I am sure it will be great fun.
Got a little ebony, tulipwood, some curly purpleheart and nice rosewood. Have not built an 8 point in a while and I liked the simplicity of the rosewood cue.
Thanks for looking,
Kenny Murrell

Love the steel jointed cue. The abalone inlays look great too.

Very nice cues from THE most underrated maker in the biz!

Great post Jamie, gotta agree with ya sir. Great looking set of cues Kenny. I`m with the rest of the crew, I like the steel jointed cue the most.
I`m sure they will be a big hit at the WCCS.

Thank you for all the kind words. I am kind of partial to ivory piloted joints and the purpleheart has one and plays extremely well, but the 4 point simplicity is really what I like. If I dont sell it, it will probably end up as a player for me, it hits great and at 19.3 oz, it is just my speed.

Hey Kenny
That other piece of firewood as you called it, what is the forearm wood. The veneers flow so well with this wood, absolutely gorgeous looking cue in progress. Keep up the great work sir, its always nice to see what you have been working on. Take care
Jeff

That is brazilian rosewood on brazilian rosewood. I have had that forearm
piece stashed for about 8 years waiting on something nice to do with it. I was
origionally going to use black/orange/green/white but the light purple kind of
spoke to me on this one.

I am lucky enough to have see all these in person. The pics are great, but they are much sweeter live! I got say the old shcool steal joint cue has been talking to me:thumbup:
