I said those words many time until my last ACCIDENT, it involved a Young Lady in a White Honda who turn Left into my PATH.
I am Trained in Motorcycle Riding, at LEO Level. I did all the Right thing to AVOID HITTING her Car. I Locked up both Brakes, and Should have Stopped before Impact.
But there was Gravel in the Road, and My Harley went into a SKID LEFT I could not recover from, as I could no release to BRAKES.
When the Harley came to rest, i was under the Bike, Alive, and well. But PINNED to the Ground, with NO WAY to Life the Bike of me or Crawl out from under it.
Best pert of the Experience was it was 110+ Degrees, the Tank was Leaking Gas, and I tough I was GOING TO DIE IN A FIRE ignited by Engine Heat and a Trickle of Gas hitting the Engine from a Gas Tank with hole in it.
I was LUCKY as a Good Samaritan stopped, and helped me out from under the Bike, ASSISTING LIFTING IT OFF ME. The guy to this day SAVED MY LIFE, I said thanks, and he vanished back to his Car that was Blocking Traffic. I could not identify my Guardian angle.
Six month Later I had a Close Call again, did not go down, and Sold the BIKE...
