In all the Pardus cue maker videos, it shows them turning butts on a wood lathe without taper bars. Has anyone actually seen one of their cues ???

How is the taper??

Kim

I have seen one and made a shaft for it. The taper is fine and appeared to be right, but I didn't throw the butt in the lathe. The pin was a little off in it but not bad.

I also noticed that there is no fence on the band saw...............

There are other videos .... I will look for them...

Baffling really...most of what I watched made little sense. I guess the steady rest is set at a taper angle and they eye ball it from there...I would have little to no faith or success without a direct taper bar for a true guide. Your guess is good as mine...Matt D.

I know this thread is kinda old, but I have done repairs and seen and played with a few Pardus cues, and the cues I have seen are made with low quality parts, the inlays are cheap, brittle plastic, tha laquer is a joke and the materials used in the joint an buttcap are og some kind of very brittle plastic, certainly not suited for the use...
