CueTable Tournament - Who's in?

Also, are the tables open? Might be easier to judge if it was predetermined which balls were to be run.

Yes, to your first question. We need to have adjudication on whether balls will go. If ref is not available can get agreement with opponent, and if that isn't possible, just state your assumption with your result.

btw: The 11 in match 2 will go past the 1 ball. If you use the arrows in Cuetable, it is quite clear. Much clearer than my jpegs.

Open Table: Yes, you can choose any ball...and IPT Rules, so you can even play a solid onto a stripe or vice-versa to begin. You'll be on the ball pocketed.

On more question and I'll ask here cause I don't want to lose this trying to find out. On the old table it had copy and past. How do I get the url?

Sorry, should have looked at instructions first I guess.

For other who may have missed the instructions:

There is a small red record button near the bottom right of the screen.
When you click on that, it automatically copies that screen URL to the clip board. So you just have to past that into any editor like this to see it.

Also, some may be wondering how to view the URL's.

Just copy and paste them into the Address bar at the top of your browser.

btw: I'm nominating sjm as a judge...and Cornerman if they turn up! Unless someone else wants to offer their services. Judges may judge after others have discussed the solutions, so long as the decision is made before the next round is due to begin.

Ok Perk, you're no.7 so you do solution for Match 1.

btw: Please everyone check the codes they send me before sending. Paste them in another browser window first and see if you get all the lines. It may not work first time.

The solution JR sent in just had the pool cue on the table....so I thought his solution was to chuck it in...but alas...just a software bug.

Whoever posts their name next will be no.8 and will do the solution for Match 3.

I'll be out for an hour...so don't rush.

All right Calc, I'm in!

When do we have to submit a solution? EDIT: Nevermind, I guess next couple of hours. I'll give it a try. Hope my shaking hands don't affect my stroke.

OK. Quick rules question. When the table is open, can you strike a solid to combo a high ball?

Edit: read the whole thread and found my answer :)

Yeah, Colin mentioned that a few posts ago. IPT rules, which means all solid-stripe combos are legal when the table's open.

Guys... I am in a pinch... I am going home and did not have time to get to the layout... I will post it before 7:00 eastern time. Sorry for the delay!

hmm..the runout is easier than putting it into a diagram. I am having some difficulties.

Cant figure out how to get more than 1 line on a screen... ):

Hey do we have a deadline for our submisssions? I want to try out a shot on a real table. I know how I would choose to play it, but I am curious as to how it would work ;). Obviously the whole rack depends on the first shot.

ok jsp, you're on table 3...match 3.

Get submission in asap, but by early tomorrow is acceptable. I want readers to have some time to debate the submissions.

Directions for Perk:

To get more lines for the CB, you just keep clicking and dragging. Hit the space bar when finished.

To put lines on the balls you pot, click on that ball, then hold shift key and press space bar. A line should appear from that ball and follow your mouse. Click where you want it to go to, then press space bar to finish.

You can also use the pencil icons...but I found shift and space bar is quicker.

Keep trying and you'll work it out with a bit of trial and error.

We have a full field now.

I'll post solutions side by side once I get both solutions from a single table.

Note: I had to remove spaces from url after they were PM'd to me. It seems to be working ok now. Thanks to Andrew for that tip.

I have to go with Andrew for basically two reasons:
1) He plays for the correct side of the 1, maximizing his chances of getting a good look at it without great speed control.
2) He leaves the 7 on the table. In case he is hampered by the 9 in cueuing for a long shot on the 2, he can use the 7 to get himself back in line.
