Cuetec Bumper removal

I recently picked up a used Cuetec cue. I'd like to lower the weight of the cue. There is a rubber bumper on the end of the cue that does not seem to want to come out for me. I can see threads well up inside the bumper, but it is not obvious to me how to remove the bumper.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

It depends on the model and age of the cue. If it has a silver butt cap, the whole butt cap can be removed and the weight bolts added/removed.

The older cues, with a black butt cap cannot. There isn't a way to change the weights. The bumper is glued in and has a hole through so the extension can be threaded in the butt of the cue.

This looks to be the older type. So, there's nothing I can do if I want to remove some weight?

ryan's right, that's an older one, you can't change the weight on those. you could have someone drill out the butt, but it might just be easier to buy a new cuetec!
