cuetech ferrule

I cut one off just the other day. It was a Scorpion cue but same difference. The joint was exactly the same as a CueTec and the shaft was glass coated so let's assume the ferrule mtrl. is the same also.
As I was cutting it, I had the impression it was Implex (PVC). Same color.
Also, it was capped.

Hope this helps.

ive had a few to repair lately, some are almost translucent but i thought maybe pvc also.thanks

I just did a cuetech a couple weeks ago, and I also thought it was implex or similar, so I used a threaded, capped pvc ferrule. The guy says it feels better than it did before.

Soft plastic. Capped Juma will feel close to the same as well & be a good upgrade.

i've never machined saber-t, but the material has been tested to be fairly heavy, so it squirts a bit more

Any feedback on saber t. Ive had some x shafts with it but have never machined it myself

Machines super nice & polished more than excellent. It is heavy...but durable. The heavy would only be a performance drawback on longer capped ferrules. I use it short, upcapped & with a 5/16id and it hits & plays excellent. The most chalk resistant material I've ever seen. Wipes clean with a thumb. It is a tad pricey though.

WTFH!
Way too frkn hard.
Deflection police goes nuts on them.

I agree pretty much what everyone else said, but mine is capped, and it gives a pretty hard hit. Since I like a long taper, it gives me a harder hit while still having that taper. As far as deflection goes, I can't say, that's something I really pay no attention to.
