Have any of you guys seen purplheart with this kind of tiger stripping in it? I have about 20 pieces I cut up a few years ago.

I cut the purple heart up from 8/4 slabs. these are not house cues. I may consider selling some?
 
If you have any turning squares (1-3/8" x 13" minimum) where the curl is tight and pronounced around the entire piece, I'd be intersted in buying 5-6 pieces. Send me a PM. Thanks, Martin

You could spray a little clear or sealer to let the curls out then we'll see... I'm interested too...
 
Why not just post a price for them? I made an offer in good faith and got the impression you were casting for suckers! How can you retire by selling 15curly purpleheart turning squares?

If you read my original post it says no where that I want to sell them. I have had so many pms from people wanting some or inquiring about them. Like I told you Martin I wasnt really sure what a fair price would be. Your mad because you though you were gonna steal a few from me. Sorry Its looks like your the one looking for a sucker.
 
More annoyed at your modus operandi than mad. I can live very well without your turning squares! My point is why bump the post if you don't want to sell them?

Not enough Joey...I think he wants $400.00 per square plus shipping. And you can only have one of the lesser figured pieces:D

You have shown us some nice Curly Purple Heart (CPH) wood and created more than a little envy. I have ordered CPH a couple of times and when it came it was the saw marks only that made it appear like CPH and I paid a premium for that wood. The wood you have shown appears to be the real thing. If it were me I would only sell a few pieces and keep the majority for my own cues.

I would be interested in purchasing a couple of pieces if you would PM me as to the price.

You might consider putting put some pieces on EBay - that way those who want it the most get it because they bid the highest.

I've PMed nbll01 and I find the prices fair for such nice pieces of wood. But I'm definitely not paying $400 for a square and I'm sure nbll01 wouldn't want $40 for it either.

I think I'm gonna raise my curly purple merry window to $1000.:eek: :D
 
For the record I offered $20 per square for 3 squares plus shipping. That's over $70 per board foot! That is about the same or more than Gilmer wood charges when they have them. I didn't make a low ball offer.

Here's a really rare board. Curly-wavy/pommele cocobolo. Board was shared with a few cuemakers...I can't wait to see what the finished cues look like.

That's a good number. I might pay a little more that the wood is worth if I really want it. I might go after a piece or two of his wood but I kind of broke the bank today with another wood purchase.

Crazy board you have there. If a piece comes available let me know.
