I have a taiwani billiard table which is a copy of the brunswick crown v. The table came with taiwani cushion, but it did not play well as the caushion does not give the right reflection when the ball is touching the caution and the ball just keep sliding. I changed the caushion to Artemis k55 as i thought the issue is from the original cushion, but i am still facing the same issue, whenver the ball touch the cushion with english side. It just keep spinning.

Attached is some pic for the cushion

I appreciate if anyone can help me out with this

Regards

Kindly open the below link to see the issue.
*note: i dont think the issue is with the cloths as the cloths is simonis 860

Balls roll and spin at the same time (I didn't see sliding as stated in the OP).

A ball, spinning the same direction as it rolls into the rail, will keep spinning.
If a ball spins in an opposite direction as it rolls into the rail, it will check up.

the cloths is not so new, it's been almost 4 months since i replaced it. The main issue it that the caushion does not work or to be precise, it only works as 25% as what is supposed to be. I have been facing this since 2 years, so its not a matter of new cloth. :(

From what I can see on that 12 second video (Could you not spare more time?), the spin does not "take" when the ball hits the rail; the spinning ball, instead of grabbing the rail and taking off in the direction of the spin, just bounces off the rail and the ball, since it did not "grab" the rail, continues to spin as it had before making rail contact.

To the OP: make us a video where you shoot the cue ball directly across the table (with a cue this time, please), with maximum English (spin) on the cue ball.

I think what the other person meant when he said shoot a shot at max english was to shoot just the cue across the table. I would suggest shooting the cue ball the short way across the table, put cue ball in line with center diamonds, aim at the center diamond on the other side of the table and try this shot at varying speeds so we can see where the cue hits the close rail. It would not hurt to include a video doing this the long way down the table too. I would try it with 2 tips of english. Shooting the long way down the table you should be able to scratch in the side pocket with the cue ball in the center of the table and aiming at the center short rail diamond.
