Cushions with Bad Odor

I have ordered Brunswick superspeed and some generic cusions from Mueller all had that bad oder to them. Smells like burnt rubber to them. I let them breathe in the garage for 2 months and they still stink. Maybe instead of baby powder try some foot powder...lol no cure yet that I have found.

I have some superspeed cushions that have a strong bad odor. does anyone know of a fix for this?

Donny,

Is the smell like rubber or more like vomit? I've run into the same situation where the cushions smell like vomit or rotten food or bad foot smell.

Try lacquer thinner on a rag, wipe them down throughly and let them dry 25 minutes, if necessary repeat the process. This should take care of the problem smell.

will lacquer thinner affect the adhesive if there already glued to the rail?

This is what Brunswick had suggested to us many years ago about the problem. Do no saturate them, just apply laquer thinner to a rag and wipe down.

I'd just tell the customer that I just farted, but don't worry...it'll dissipate in 3-4 days:o:o:grin:

Rail rubber is like pizza: when you order, remember to tell them "No anchovies."
