Hey, I'm lookin to get a new case. The cases that I usually buy don't run more then around 200. This time I'm looking to get something a big more nice. What are my options? I'm aware of justis (which is the way I'm leaning now). What other case co. Are the equivalent o his stuff. I'm not really lookin to spend more then 1000. All info would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to give all opinions and suggestions, like I said never bought a super nice case so I'm looking for some direction. Thanks

You have to check out VOLTURI...they are in the cue and case gallery....the workmanship is top totch and the price point comes in much better than the competitors!!

Consider JB cases, many custom options available. Justis cases are also one of the best and Jack is a superb Master craftsman.

I had Dennis Swift make me one 18 months ago. I'm very happy with it and the service. It came when he said it would come. His cases are $350 or so (I got a 2x4). My only complaint is related to the tooling color. From looking at the web page I expected the tooling grooves to be black. They came a very light brown and I thought it contrasted too much with the dark brown leather. However over six months they aged nicely and darkened to a medium brown and it looks good. So you might want to tell him exactly what you want by pointing to specific pictures on his web page.

The Jack Justis cases do look very nice. They are very expensive as well.

My last case purchase was a Whitten, and I think I'm sold on his cases, at least for the foreseeable future. Superb craftsmanship, great looks, and it's just a little more understated than what a lot of casemakers seem to be shooting for with the "cowboy" look.

I am starting a line of the world's first 3D printed cases.. Fully custom, one-of-a-kind one-off cases. They will be very pricy, but I'll be able to create shapes and textures that you will never get with wood or leather. Right now I have a client who is asking for a Batman themed case.. So far it looks like a case Batman himself would use if he was a pool player! This one in particular is running him $2600

My recommendation would be:

- Whitten: classy, sleek, lightweight, excellent customer service and communication skills.

- JB: great craftmanship, best protection but heavier, not so good email replying or communication skills.

I alternate using both and they both offer many customization options.
