You need to buy a Liberty brand gun safe 2nd place is national baicaly same design but Liberty has a high fire burn ratio then any safe out there I think its the presidential line that has a 3hr rating @2,000 degree. Most fires last 2-3 hrs before they ar extinguished completely. The hottest spot for the fire is generaly the garage to many combustionables in there.
I used to sell them 10 yrs ago when I had a gun shop. research them you can keep letters and harddrives in there and the will make it through a fire with little to no damage.If you install a dehumidifire in the safe you wil need to get some fire plug caulk or putty to fill in the hole were the cord goes.

things are looking good ....
learnt something new today about insurance ... if you keep anything on top of the safe or touching it on the side and if there is a fire, the insurance company can delay or not pay the settlement due to the fact that that item could have accelerated the damage to the safe ... one more way they can worm out of paying you !
so keep your safes isolated ...

Hygrometer with an external probe would work nicely, place the external probe inside the safe for easy monitoring. Gun safes have dehumidifying devices that can be installed inside the safe.
Keep in mind that the flash point of what the safe is rated for is different than what you might be storing in it. If a safe is rated for gun storage, then the flash point will be different than for wood and paper. Same holds true when you store magnetic or film media inside of it. You'll want to check into that a little more and make adjustments.

Does this mean that all your cues will definitely be stored inside Ron Thomas cases at all times inside of the safe? I was considering building a storage cabinet/safe for my cues. Part of the reason why I started to collect O'Neil Dealer Cases that have the removable plush tray inserts that I could use to fill drawers on sliding ball bearing rails. Got this idea from the old Best Billiards cue safe that is now happily at home in the J&J Cue America warehouse storing all their high end cues. I wonder if the owner will let me take a picture of the cue safe. Been a while since I've visited them...
not necessarily ron's cases .. i have 2 4x8 coming from whitten .. hence the 2 cabinet design.. one is just a big empty space so i can store any type of case ... and one has slots of various widths so i can use cases from other makers as well and cases with pockets as well as without...
