I have had the Idea for a cue for myself for a while. I dont need any fancy woods, I would just like quality simple Veneers, and simple Inlays. This image is fancy, but it can be dumbed down easily.

The 8 points arent necesary, I would be happy with just the veneered points, and ebony can be substituted. I am very open for ideas.

Hi there,
You are welcome to look at my website and see if there is any thing of interest to you. TXQ0067 has some of the characteristics you have displayed in your design and may suit you. My business email is available on the site. Thanks in advance for looking. Let me know what you think.

If I were you, I'd contact either Carolina Custom Cues or Jerry Rauenzahn - this is right up their alley....

That is a very simple design and I would believe there are very few cue makers who would have a problem building it. As far as cost this would intend entirely on what materials you want used as far as joints, ferrules, inlays and quality of woods but the biggest cost, of coarse, would be the reputation of the builder.

Simple Phenolic or pvc joints, Standard ferrule, Inlays could just be knock off ivory or mother of pearl.

I dont want expensive materials, just a solid playing cue. Id even be willing to give a newcomer a chance with it. Carolina cues looks like it falls into what they do day to day, But I would really like someones name on it. Something with more of a story behind it.

Well if you want something with a "name" or a "story behind it" you'll pay a lot more...

That's nice drawing, Anyone have any idea how to get program like this for downloading?
thanks, Kenny

I used photoshop to do the cue drawing, and I can and will do cue designs for people in my free time. I went with California Customs for the cue, btw

Corel Draw works better than Photoshop due to the fact that it's a vector program. Photoshop is a pixel program more suited for editing or making layouts with photographs.

Very true, I work in Photoshop every day as a graphic designer, so its at hand. Illustrator would work for vectors too...

If I really wanted to get collegiate, I guess I could model in cad, lol Photoshop is quick and simple

yes Illustrator is another perfect software for this.....i only mentioned Corel because i'm PC guy as opposed to a Mac guy. using cad is good too but it's a bit easier to create the flat layouts in a vector program first then import them into the 3d modeling software to wrap them around your geometry.

Im a PC guy transplant. Never Had much experience with corel.

You shoulda seen me at the poolhall today working in between sets on my laptop
