I bought the cue From Diamonds billiards in Richmond. The builder had a shop. But closed up do to the economy. He is building cues again, anonymously.

Does it have a uniloc joint? Can we get a pic of the joint? Reminds me of an old lucasi for some reason.

Bingo. I had the same cue year or two ago. The only difference is that this one doesn't have the logo. Should have known I could have made a couple grand by taking off the logo.

This guy needs some rep,so others are aware of his scams

Easy there Marc...I wouldn't be so quick to string him up just yet.. It could be he is uninformed about cue values and he was taken in by someone.. His cue doesn't have a logo on it and maybe, just maybe, he was told it is a custom cue worth thousands by some unscrupulous jerk....After all, he has the cue priced so far out he could just be a little gullible..
A Scammer does not ask $2600 for a cue worth $200.. IMO

In his eBay listing he said he paid $3500.00 for it. Just doesn't smell right.I will be happy to apologize if I am wrong.Point taken, though.

Another good reason to require 50-posts and gold membership, before you can start a thread in the AZ wanted / for sale.

Ok, can you tell us all who the builder is? We got the part that you bought it from Diamond Billiards, the part that builder had a shop(WHERE?). Most of the cue makers DO HAVE SHOPS you know. Now, can you tell us the name of a builder? Anonymously of course.
Because looking at those CNCed points and inlays, I am thinking it is nothing more than a lucasi, worth $200 at best.
Feel free to Pm me if the name is such a secret

Sorry, but I have to disagree with you on that. I haven't reached your criteria and have had some very successful transactions, both buying and selling. I have also offered a full refund on any item sold. Completely ostracizing newcomers would be bad for the whole community and inevitably discourage new members. I agree that there needs to be some type of method for screening and ferreting out undesirables, but I don't think your idea is the solution. Bottom line is that all buyers need to utilize common sense and take the necessary steps to protect themselves; especially with high value transactions. "Caveat emptor".
